Mystical men from a far off land are included as unlikely participants in the Christmas story. Of course they might be late to the party in that they don’t come to a manger or to a baby a few days old. But still they come to a baby, and they come to worship doing so with gifts of wonderful significance. Ultimately the birth of Jesus must instil in our hearts a desire to worship.
