Sharing God's Passion for Mission

Jesus command in Matthew 28:19 to ‘therefore go and make disciples of all nations’ clearly explains that every Christian is called to mission. Every Christian is a missionary. For some that mission is further afield, for others it is right on their doorstep. Together with the World Mission Team evening of June 6th, these 2 Sundays aim to help us all understand and be moved by God’s passion for (World) Mission. We get to be part of and share God’s passion as partners in the Gospel. At a time which has seen a greater openness to the good news of Jesus Christ, it is our hope to see a renewed conviction of our calling. Perhaps some may even be moved to say: ‘Here I am, send me… somewhere new’!

Psalm 67 - God's Passion for World Mission - Christiaan Hofstra (Video)
Morning Service, Sunday, June 13, 2021
Psalm 67 reminds us of God's covenant promise to Abraham in Genesis 12, that He means for all peoples to enjoy Him. By knowing, praising, enjoying and fearing Him all nations can be glad in Him. God blessed Abraham to be a blessing. With the psalmist we're to pray for ongoing blessing in order for us too to be a blessing, a light to the nations today. For this Jesus came and died on the cross. This is why God is passionate about (World) Mission and we're invited to share His Passion.
